Composition:

Each 100 g contains:

Sulphachloropyrazine Sodium 

equivalent to Sulphachloropyrazine      30 g

Excipients                                                  Q.S.

Mode of Action:

⚫ V-CLOZINE is a competitive antagonist of para-aminobenzoic acid (PABA), a precursor of folic acid in protozoa and bacteria.

⚫ It inhibits folic acid synthesis in protozoa and bacteria.

Indications:

⚫ For treatment of Coccidiosis in poultry caused by species of Eimeria such as E. tenella, E. necatrix,

E. acervulina, E. brunetti, E. maxima, E. mitis, E. mivati, E. praecox and also by E. adenoeides,

E. meleagrimitis etc.

⚫ For treatment of other mixed bacterial infections.

* Drug of choice for Avian Malaria and Leucocytozoon disease.

Dosage and Administration :

* For coccidiosis caused by all species of Eimeria (Except E. Tenella and E. necatrix), Avian Malaria and Leucocytozoon - 1 gm of V-CLOZINE powder per 1 litre of drinking water for 3 days.

⚫ For E. tenella and E. necatrix - 1.5 to 2 gm of V-CLOZINE powder per 1 litre of drinking water is indicated.

* For Shuttle Programme - Treat the birds for 3 consecutive days at 1 gm of V-CLOZINE powder per 1 litre of drinking water and repeat after 2 days break if necessary.

(shuttle programme like day 1,3,5,7,9 or 1,2,5,6,9 can also give good results).

Precautions

Avoid under dosing and overdosing. Overdosing in chicks may cause bleeding which should be treated with Vitamin K.
